JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- The big  dance was Sunday night for the NFL.

KRCG caught up with fans at Spectators in Jefferson City who said they grew up as die hard fans of both the Steelers and the Packers.

"I've been a Packers fan since I was born,” Packers fan Casey Schulte said. “My dad was a huge packers fan, always rooting for the underdog and obviously now were in the Super Bowl."

"I've been a Steelers fan ever since I was a little kid,” Steelers fan John Mattox said.

"I’ve just been watching them through all their losing seasons until finally they got to the point where they’re elite," Packers fan Scott Gentry said.

But not everyone was a dedicated fan, one person decided what team to root for through her clothing choices.

"This is the only one I had, I didn't have a Green Bay one," Jordan Ruprecht said.

One guy even renamed Super Bowl 45 the “hair bowl” because of Troy Polamalu of the Steelers and the Packers Clay Matthews.

"Me being an expert on hair I have to go with the Samoan, Troy Polamalu and the Pittsburgh Steelers," the ‘hair expert’ said.

You might be wondering how he came to this conclusion.

In the end it really just all boiled down to hair product.

"Ya know, he endorses head and shoulders, Clay Matthews endorses Suave, and I think Head   and Shoulders just for the anti-itch and the no flakes does a better job."

But no matter who they were rooting for, NFL fans were there to enjoy a great game...

"These are the best 2 defenses in the league right now and they're meeting on the biggest stage in the NF and everyone's got their eyes on them all across the world so I’m just rooting for my team," Gentry said.
