JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (AP) -- Hundreds of anti-abortion protesters from around Missouri marched to the Statehouse Saturday to mark the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
About 600 protesters gathered in front of the governor's mansion and the office of the Missouri Secretary of State and began marching at 10 a.m.
They waved signs and sang Christian hymns as they on the steps of the Capitol.
The marchers then gathered in the capitol rotunda to hear speeches from several anti-abortion speakers, including a physician and a priest.
The protest in Jefferson City is one of several happening this weekend to mark the anniversary of the 1973 ruling. On Monday there will also be a march in Washington.
