MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) -- Two men are in custody, but two considered armed and dangerous are still being sought after they allegedly fired shots as police in St. Louis County tried to apprehend them.

Police in Maryland Heights were called to a hotel early Wednesday, where they say four suspects in two vehicles were breaking into cars on the hotel parking lot.

KTVI-TV reports that the suspects fired shots and took off, prompting a chase.

One of the vehicles crashed near Interstate 270. The men jumped out of the car and were captured.

The other two men were in a light blue pickup truck last seen heading west on Interstate 70 into St. Charles County.
