ST. LOUIS -- As thousands of people leave Washington DC following President Barack Obama’s inauguration, thousands of others are just now headed to the nation’s capitol.
Thursday marked the 36th anniversary of Roe Vs Wade and will include the annual March for Life in DC.
At the base of the St. Louis arch, the Missouri Right To Life organization held a rally Wednesday morning.
A short time later, dozens of participants boarded charter buses and headed to the DC event.
Anti-abortion rights advocates are striving for a record turnout at this year’s event, fearing the new Obama administration could endorse stronger abortion rights.
Abortion rights supporters hope Obama will change the policies to help fund reproductive healthcare services.
