Members of the American Red Cross' Heart of Missouri Chapter held the first annual "Tiger Boil" Saturday.

The tailgate party was held at the American Legion Post 5 in Jefferson City. Participants watched the Mizzou Tigers take on the seventh-ranked Florida Gators while enjoying a buffet of boiled shrimp.

Each wristband also bought unlimited snacks and refreshments.

All proceeds from the event are put toward the Chapter's budget and can go toward a variety of endeavors.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Vice Chair Kayla Wilbers said that some of the money raised might go toward helping victims on the east coast.

Currently the Heart of Missouri Chapter has volunteers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
