The University of Missouri-Columbia is celebrating its 101st homecoming this weekend.

This is the first homecoming as part of the SEC.

Fraternity and sorority members are continuing their tradition of building house decorations.

This year’s theme is The Wild West.

Members of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega sorority started construction on their display on Tuesday.

The students have been working day and night to finish their decorations for tonight’s event.

Alpha Gamma Rho member Colby Willer said, “A lot of work and time goes into it.  It just boosts the community with all of the things we are buying like the little pomps and things like that.  It’s just good times.  It builds brotherhood and things like that.”

The Mizzou homecoming parade begins at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning in Downtown Columbia.

They are starting early because the Mizzou football game against the Kentucky Wildcats has a kickoff time of 11:00 a.m.
