Man attacks deputies with knife

Officers arrested a Boone County man about 4:00 A.M. On Saturday morning after he allegedly attacked several deputies with a knife.

Authorities arrested Antonio Vaughn, 33, on several charges including the unlawful use of a weapon, felonious restraint and endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputies found Vaughn in a home in the 5500 block of Pinehurst Lane after someone reported a gun shot victim.

After discovering no one was shot, deputies found some people in the home being held by Vaughn in a bedroom against their will.

Officers say they Tasered and arrested Vaughn after the suspect assaulted deputies with a knife.

Vaughn was treated at a local hospital before he went to jail.

No one else was injured.

Vaughn remains in jail tonight with a bond of more than 28-thousand dollars.
