Chicago, Dallas flights added for Columbia

Columbia Regional Airport announced on Thursday that American Airlines will add flights to Chicago & Dallas. The flights will begin in February.

Mayor Bob McDavid said the flights were added partly because of the large number of Mizzou students from Chicago & Dallas, which he called "strong footholds".

"We don't want to be fly over country...we want to be fly into country," McDavid said.
