Democrats from all over Callawy country and the rest of Missouri held a rally a the Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield on Sunday.

Several key-note speakers were also key players in the upcoming November election, especially Senatorial candidate Claire McCaskilL.

Organizers added that the event was designed to get people politically active in their community.

"It's all about getting voters out to the polls, and I think we're going to do that." said Mike Backer, the Callaway County Democratic Central Committee chairman. "And this would be one way to get people excited. To get their neighbors to come out and vote."
