Jefferson City's Super D drugstore is closing.

A store manager tells KRCG 13 that September 26th is the last day of business.

The manager says Walgreens company bought Super D's parent company, and all 144 stores are either being converted to Walgreens or closing completely.

In the case of Jefferson City's Super D on Missouri Boulevard, it's closing completely.

There are nine employees at the store.

The lead pharmacist has been at the store for nearly three decades.
