It was time for celebration, and a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who kept our country free.

"We're going to be graduating today. This is the 50th class garduation of Missouri National Guard Officer Candidates, so it's kind of a big deal,” said Adam Winters, a new officer candidate.

The 50th class graduating from Officer Candidate school of the Army National Guard held their graduation ceremony in State Capitol Rotunda.

"Shortly, behind us, we're going to have 14 officer candidates that are going to graduate, we'll have guest speakers. We're even going to have guest, class members from class 1 attending," said Staff Sgt. Galleger.

And it's something that even the old-timers can remember like it was yesterday.
