More than $100,000 used for project
Jefferson City residents and business owners gathered Tuesday for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Broadway Street Neighborhood improvement project was officially completed Tuesday. The project included improvements on Broadway's sidewalks, curbs and gutters on both sides of the street.
This three-month project began when local businesses and pedestrians reported issues with the sidewalks.
Area residents and business owners worked together to make these changes. They were able to contribute $15,871 to the completed project, while the city covered more than $100,000 to the streets renovations.
The completed project will connect to the recent improvements that were made by the Missouri Department of Transportation at the Whitton Expressway.
