Updated, 4:20 p.m.:

A large brush fire quickly got out of control Friday afternoon in Brumley, Mo.

The fire began in the 2200 block of Highway 42. The owner of the property said the fire was burning on their land, which is approximately 130 acres.

She said a shed was burned down, but there was no house on the land.

Other residents were evacuated from their homes and they said that their houses are still in danger.

Fire crews from Brumley, Osage Beach, Tuscumbia, Eldon, Lake Ozarks, Jefferson City and Iberia were on scene trying to contain the fire. They don't believe anybody was hurt.
