Shot fired during Boone County burglary

Boone County Police are investigating a burglary of an unknown suspect who forcibly entered a home.

The Boone County Sherriff’s Department responded to a call at the 4400 block of Santa Barbara Drive late Friday night for a burglary in process.

Suspect fired one shot in the home, no one was injured. Suspect fled and the homeowner was unable to identify the assailant.

The investigation is ongoing.
