A Columbia man was arrested Thursday by Boone County sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of stealing over a two-month period from property on Peabody Road in the Elm Tree area.
John A. Miller, 27, was released from the Boone County Jail after posting a $9,000 bond on two counts of felony stealing.
Deputies have been investigating numerous thefts from the property since late May and were called to the scene after a neighbor reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the driveway shortly before 9 a.m.
The investigation led deputies to Advantage Metals on Proctor Drive where Miller was taken into custody. Documentation provided by Advantage Metals indicated items brought to the facility by Miller were stolen from the Peabody Road property. The stolen items consisted mainly of vehicle parts and tire rims.
