Two people were hit by a car in a Jefferson City McDonald’s' parking lot on Wednesday morning.

Eric Landon of Camdenton was backing up in a 2007 BMW at about 7:20 when the vehicle hit Adeline Beinlich and David Maloney, both of Jefferson City. Maloney was transported by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, while Beinlich drove herself to Capital Region Hospital for the same.

Landon was not injured and said he never saw the pedestrians while backing up. The McDonald's is located at 1918 Jefferson St.
