The Veterans United Foundation has issued a challenge to mid-Missouri businesses. They want businesses to purchase tickets to this weekend's Lt. Dan Band concert, and they'll match their sales.

The Foundation says for every 100 tickets area businesses buy, Veterans United Foundation will buy 100 more. Those tickets will be given away to area veterans to enjoy the concert.

Friday's concert is at Apple Creek Farms, just outside of Jefferson City. Organizers said only about 1,500 tickets, of the 4,000 tickets available, have been sold. Concert proceeds will help build local wounded veteran, Tyler Huffman, a new smart home.

You can buy tickets online at AppleCreekTickets.com
