(AP) -- EMINENCE, Mo. (AP) -- Current River campers looking to spend some time on the water can enroll in a free canoe and kayak clinic at the Round Springs campground starting next Friday.
The Ozarks National Scenic Riverways, which is part of the National Park Service, is offering the two-hour clinics beginning on Friday, July 20.
Sessions are also planned for July 27 and August 3 at the same time and location.
The sessions will cover proper equipment, water safety, rescue techniques and basic paddle strokes and maneuvers. Advance registration is recommended, and classes are limited to 12 students.
Clinic instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association.
