MARIES COUNTY -- Authorities arrested a Vienna man Monday night after a chase.

It began after a report of a disturbance involving weapons and an intoxicated person on Maries County Road 302.

Deputies began to search for 56-year-old Jimmie McKinney, who reportedly had threatened the victim and pointed a rifle at him.

Deputies saw McKinney driving down highway 63 at a high rate of speed, but lost sight of him.

They later found him at his home.

During a search there, deputies found illegal weapons, and drug paraphernalia.

McKinney was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon, felony assault, resisting arrest, being a felon in possession of firearms, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McKinney, who is currently on probation, was taken to the Maries County jail.
