Saturday was a beautiful day in downtown Jefferson City and thousands of people came out for this year's Kidsfest.
There was live entertainment with the capital city cheer, elite performing arts and many more.
Ameren Missouri gave kids a chance to go up in bucket trucks to see the city skyline, and the Jefferson City Fire Department had some trucks on hand for the kids to see.
Organizers say it was an event designed to get kids active in their own community.
KRCG-13 was a proud sponsor of the event.
