One man is behind bars in the Callaway County Jail this morning for DWI and several other charges.

Fulton Police arrested a man late Thursday night after he refused to stop after several traffic violations and led officers on a chase.

Police said they were able to get the vehicle stopped on Highway 54 north of Fulton.

Michael Fennewald was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Also inside the vehicle officers found a juvenile. The juvenile was placed in protective custody until a family member could pick him up.

Since a juvenile was in the vehicle, Fennewald was also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, along with several other charges, including Careless and Imprudent driving and Failing to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.
