JEFFERSON CITY -- Police arrested a St. Louis man for disturbing the peace in Jefferson City.

At about 7:45 Monday night Jefferson City police officers got a call for gunshots fired near Argonne and Francis St.

Officers at the scene determined shots were fired near a residence in the 200-block of Argonne and found spent shell casings near the residence.

They interviewed Cenneth Eugene Tucker, 27, who told them he had set off firecrackers.

Tucker was arrested for peace disturbance and was taken to the Cole County Jail.
