LaTisha Helming reminds us of her local hero, Sgt. Robert Wendell who recieved a bronze star while serving in Afghanistan.
John Hequembourg and his wife's hero is their son Scott, he's a Major after 12 years of service including 4 middle east tours and earning 3 bronze stars and a long list of other honor badges to be proud of.
Sarah Demkowicz says husband is her hero and he's serving in Afghanistan right now. Though he is having to miss out on the first year of his son's life; he was at the birth- via skype!

"He was in the role where he had to stay home and take care of the children and now the role is reversed and I realize how hard it is. "

Jennifer Fife knows what it is like to have a hero for a husband, Seth just returned home after 14 months in Afghanistan and the family is glad to have him home, "Our dad is our hero."
While May is Military appreciation month, Teresa Meyer Mackay posted for us all when she wrote, "Every month should be military appreciation month. They don't just work for us in May."
All of our soldiers today, tomorrow and yesterday are heros.
