Arrest made in Northland burglary

Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Northland Drive in reference to a possible burglary Thursday night. A witness observed four males forcibly enter a residence. The witness said the subjects were in the residence for a brief time before exiting and getting into a white vehicle that fled northbound on Northland.

Street Crimes Unit Officers in the area of the burglary saw the suspect vehicle in the 3300 block of Jamesdale. Dennis C. Whitehead was identified as the suspect that broke into the residence on Northland. He was arrested and transported to the Columbia Police Department.

Detectives arrested Whitehead on Burglary charges for several other cases in the Jamesdale/Brown Station road area. His charges include burglary, two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of unlawful possession of a concealable weapon.
