Columbia Police are investigating a shooting this morning after a bullet went through a toddler's bedroom.

Just before 11 p.m. Thursday night, residents of a house in the 2900 block of Shingo Court called police and reported that they heard gunshots.

When officers got to the scene, they found that a bullet had gone through a child's bedroom window and into the hallway of the house.

Police told KRCG that they don’t believe the house was targeted.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
