Update: 10:15 p.m. April 24th

Tuesday, Jefferson City Police addressed a concern over a slow response time to Sunday's shooting.

In a statement released by the police department.

The actual time between from when the dispatcher sent the first officer was two minutes and 50 seconds.

EMS crews arrived about four minutes later.

Residents had complained that the victim was laying on the ground for nearly ten minutes while officers stood by.

Captain Doug Shoemaker said that simply wasn't the case, "We want to ensure people know we take these calls seriously. We look into issues like this because it can present a problem if there is a slow response time. Our job is to save lives, stabilize the scene, and do the best job we can do to secure that crime scene".

Authorities are still looking for a third suspect but haven't released a name or description.


Update: 12:15 p.m. April 24th

Jefferson City Police have released new information regarding Sunday’s fatal shooting.

Police said on Monday Sandalio Ingram, who is a person of interest in the homicide of Keith Mosely, voluntarily came to the Police Department to speak with detectives. After questioning, Ingram was released pending further investigation. 
 

That's what lead detectives to think there may be another person of interest.  Jefferson City Police Detectives have interviewed a number people with direct knowledge of the event. They continue to follow leads. 

At this point, the identity of this person of interest will not be released until more information is gathered regarding their involvement.

Update: 10:25 p.m. April 23rd:

The Jefferson City Police Department now says they are looking for a third suspect in Sunday's homicide.


Update: 6:24 p.m. April 22nd:

Brandon Chase of Jefferson City is in custody. He was sought as a “person of interest” in the homicide.  

A second person of interest has been identified as Jefferson City resident, 29 year old, Sandalio M. Ingram.

Update: 11:20 a.m. April 22nd:

Jefferson City Police Department has two suspects of interest in the Homicide that occurred earlier this morning at 1029 Buena Vista Street.

The first person of interest is Brandon Chase, who has four (4) outstanding warrants in Jefferson City and
Cole County.

The victim in the shooting is Keith Moseley, 34, of Columbia.

Original Story:

A 34 year old man was shot near Buena Vista Street in Jefferson City overnight.

At 12:17am on Sunday April 22nd, calls began coming in at the Jefferson City Police Department reporting hearing gun shots.

The victim was flown to Columbia but could not be saved.

The victim's identification has not been released.

Jefferson City detectives are investigating possible suspects. The suspect was witnessed wearing a ski-mask. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jefferson City Police department or CrimeStoppers at 573-659-TIPS.
