Attorney General Chris Koster has filed a lawsuit against the owner of two Boone County businesses for violating Missouri’s Clean Water laws.

Koster said Michael Gilbane owns and operates Gilbane Mobile Home Park and Gilbane Rebuilders. The lawsuit alleged that those businesses are served by lagoon wastewater treatment facilities that lack permits.

The suit said wastewater from the two treatment facilities discharges to Little Cedar Creek, a tributary of Cedar Creek.

In addition, inspections found that Gilbane violated clean water regulations by failing to submit annual discharge monitoring reports since 2005; and by failing to pay annual operating fees since 2006.
