Rolla man dead after motorcycle crash

A Rolla man is dead after a Monday afternoon crash in Phelps County.

According to the Highway Patrol, 68-year-old Wilson P. Woolsey was driving his motorcycle on Highway 8, about 2 miles south of St. James, when he lost control of the bike.

Troopers said Woolsey was ejected from the motorcycle as he ran off the right side of the road.

Woolsey was pronounced dead shortly after.
