BOONE COUNTY – One woman from Harrisburg is dead following a crash on Highway 40 west of Columbia Friday night.

Troopers say it happened around 10 p.m, when 49 year-old Kyle Overby of Columbia crossed the center line on the highway and struck 59 year-old Linda Lipscomb's car nearly head-on.

Troopers found Lipscomb in her car on the side of the road where she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Overby's vehicle overturned in the accident. He was flown to the University Hospital afterward, and made it out with moderate injuries.
