COLUMBIA -- Seven people were arrested in Columbia on charges related to drug trafficking. Six agencies teamed together to make the arrests on Monday.

The searches found evidence of a drug distribution operation.

Eric Berry, 28, was arrested at 511 N. Providence for the distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. The warrant was obtained by the U.S. Postal Service, on a package that was delivered to his address. When the warrant was executed, officials found several pounds of high grade marijuana, paraphernalia, scales and cash.

Zachary Hare, 23, was taken into custody at 604 N. Seventh Street for the distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. Postal inspectors also obtained a warrant for a package, this one delivered to the Seventh Street address. One pound of high grade marijuana, cash and scales where found at that location.

David Sobelman, 19, was arrested at 5950 N. Wagon Trail Road for distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. The U.S. Postal Inspectors obtained a warrant on a package delivered to 1417 Stone Street. Once the package was delivered, the warrant was served at his residence on Stone Street. Sobelman was arrested during a traffic stop on Wagon Trail Road. They recovered eight pounds of high grade marijuana and cash.

Evelyn Dunkin, 18, was also arrested at 1417 Stone Street for distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. She admitted to receiving packages of marijuana for Sobelman on multiple occasions.

John Renfro, 24, was arrested at 2300 Sears Court for distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. He was seen going into 1615 High Quest Circle with a black bag and then leaving again a short time later. After pulling Renfro over for a traffic stop, officers found more than one pound of high grade marijuana and cash. Renfro admitted he was planning to sell it.

Soeum Lem, 25, was arrested after a traffic stop at Derby Ridge Drive and Citadel. Lem was seen leaving 1417 Stone Street with a clothes hamper and going to 1615 High Quest Circle. Shortly after he got there, Renfro arrived with the black bag, went inside briefly, then left again with the bag. Officers learned from Renfro that he purchased the marijuana from Lem. Officers pulled Lem over in a traffic stop. He also faces charges of distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance.

Michael Neubauer, 27, was arrested at 511 N. Providence Road for distribution, delivery, manufacture and production of a controlled substance. U. S. Postal Inspectors obtained a federal search warrant for a postal package delivered to that address. After the package was delivered, the warrant was served and Neubauer was arrested.

Bond has not been set for the suspects. There may be more charges and arrests as officials continue their investigation.
