COLUMBIA, MO. -- Dozens of Missouri basketball fans gathered outside of the Mizzou Arena on Wednesday afternoon for a big Tiger send-off.

The Mizzou Men’s Basketball Team held one last pep rally in Columbia before getting on the bus to Omaha for this year’s NCAA tournament.

Coach Frank Haith and his basketball team said goodbye to a large crowd of Tiger fans before they left for the big dance in Nebraska.  Tiger fans wished their team the best as they dream of a trip to the Final Four in New Orleans.

Marcus Denmon said, “We just want to thank you for all of your support.  We really appreciate this.  This is beautiful with everyone out here sending us off.”

Kim English said, “We’re on a mission to win these two in Omaha.  We’re going to work hard to win two in Phoenix.  We’re really going to work hard to try and win two in New Orleans.”

Haith said, “We’ve marveled at the opportunity that we’ve had with these young men.  We have the most respectful young men in the country.  I can’t imagine anybody coaching anyone better than these guys that we have here.  They represent this University in a first class manner.  They deserve to win because they are first class individuals.  God bless!”

The team boarded their bus as fans shook their hands and wished them good luck in the tournament.

This year’s basketball team has put together the winningest four-year stretch in Mizzou history at the send-off.
