ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A former substitute teacher and girls basketball coach in St. Louis is headed to federal prison for having sex with a minor girl.

Twenty-nine-year-old Brent W. Woody, of Creve Coeur, was sentenced Monday to 12 years and seven months in prison for taking a 15-year-old girl to his parents' house in Illinois intending to have sex. He taught at Parkway Central High School in St. Louis.

Prosecutors say Woody was having a sexual relationship with the girl.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Woody still faces 15 counts of statutory rape and sodomy for allegedly having sex with two underage girls in 2009-10.
