Update: Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 7:14 p.m.:

Emily Frakes, the driver who caused a triple-fatal crash near Eldon on Tuesday remains in the hospital.

Officials at Mercy Hospital in Springfield said the 19-year-old is in neuro-intensive care.

According to the highway patrol she crossed the center line on Missouri Highway 52 and went into the path of the Wilcox family’s car. Marty Wilcox, his wife Elisa, and the couple’s 3-year-old son, Marty all died in the collision. Their 2-day-old son survived the crash.

There is a fund set up to help pay for the three funerals.

Three members of an Eldon family died in a head-on collision this afternoon on Missouri Highway 52 at Brown Road.

The highway patrol report indicates a 19-year-old driver, Emily Frakes, crossed the center line and into the path of the Wilcox family's car.

36-year-old Marty Wilcox, his 27-year-old wife Elisa, and the couple's three year old son Marty died.

Their two-day-old son survived the crash.

Emily Frakes suffered serious injuries and was lifeflighted to a Springfield hospital.

everyone involved in the accident was buckled up.
