Columbia Police say a man arrested Friday for robbing two banks confessed to holding up two other stores as well.
After the robbery call at Boone County National Bankon Paris at 2:30 p.m, it only took officers 16 minutes to apprehend Donald Clark Jr. near Old Highway 63 and Ammonette. That’s about an 8 minute walk from the site of Friday’s robbery.
Witnesses said he handed the teller a note demanding money. He never showed a gun and left on foot with cash.
Investigators say Clark is also responsible for the bank robbery at Landmark Bank on North Garth on Thursday.
Late Friday, Columbia Police say Clark also admitted his involvement in the attempted robbery at Dollar General at 106 Business Loop 70 W and the robbery at the Breaktime Convenience Store at 301 Nebraska earlier this week. The suspect threatened to use a knife in those crimes.
Officers recovered several pieces of evidence which linked Clark to the robberies. Clark was arrested for four counts of Robbery in the
First Degree and four counts of Armed Criminal Action.
