CAMDENTON -- Well it's that time of year Valentine’s Day is just a couple of days away.

About 100-couples celebrated it early Sunday by renewing their vows at a unique spot.

They renewed their vows underground at Bridal Cave in Camdenton.

The historic spot offered renewal of vow ceremonies free of charge.

The minister of today's ceremonies says his job is one of a kind.

“We get to meet all kinds of different people and sometimes people come here just to come here and renew their vows, other times, people might be struggling a little bit in their relationship and they're showing their recommitment for one another and it draws them closer together," Baptist minister Gerald Eriter said.

Eriter said this years turnout was even better than last years, which brought more than 70 couples came from a 200 mile radius to reaffirm their love for one another.

One woman said her husband surprised her with the ceremony Sunday.

"Actually it was a complete surprise, I didn't know until the end of the road here, when we turned on, that we were even going here,” Mary Hallak said.  “it was so great.  I've never been in the cave."

Bridal cave has been performing weddings inside the cave since 1949. To date over 2,275 couples have exchanged vows in the chapel. Couples have come from almost all 50 states and 5 foreign countries.
