Police arrest suspected heroin dealers

Two men suspected of dealing heroin dealers were arrested by Jefferson City Police Thursday night.

Mark A. Conn and Zachary A. Williams were taken into custody on outstanding warrants. They are expected to be charged with 3 counts of distribution of a controlled substance near public housing, 1 count of Delivering/manufacturing imitation controlled substance, and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The men are being held in the Cole County Jail. Conn's bond is $100,000, Williams' is $50,000.

Both men are persons of interest as part of an ongoing investigation relating to area heroin sales and the increase in overdoses and deaths in the Jefferson City area.
