Missouri Republican Sen. Roy Blunt celebrated last night with Governor Mitt Romney’s victory in the Iowa Caucus.

Blunt is endorsing Romney as the next President of the United States.

Blunt said Romney is the best man for the job and the most likely of the Republican candidates to defeat President Obama in the November election.

Blunt said Missouri voters will play an important role in the Republican presidential race during next month’s Missouri presidential primary.

Blunt said, “Our primary will have some impact on the March decision, a month later, when the delegates are actually chosen. The primary is literally what they call a beauty contest where people are only voting to express an opinion. A month later, I think that opinion is likely to matter at the Missouri caucuses where delegates are beginning to be chosen.”

The Missouri presidential primary will be held on Tuesday, February 7.
