A Columbia teenager is dead after an early morning New Year's Day crash in Boone County.
The Highway Patrol said Kameron Gwin was on Route Z, a tenth of a mile north of St. Charles Road when he ran off the road and hit a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say the 19 –year-old was not wearing a seatbelt.
The passenger in the car, 18 year old Danielle Strickland, is in serious condition at University Hospital.
In Gasconade county, a Morrison, MO man died in a Saturday night crash.
Troopers say 23-year-old Robert Theissen was driving on Missouri 100, a half mile west of County Road 203, when he failed to negotiate a curve.
He ran off the road, hit a ditch and overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
