Two Jefferson City residents are behind bars, facing charges of second degree assault and property destruction.
Police responded to a call at 4:57 a.m. Sunday about a stabbing and property destruction in the 900 block of East Cedar Way.
Police said when they got there, they found that two groups of people had been in an altercation at Club Motivation on Industria Drive.
Police said the victim and her friends went home but were followed by the suspects.
When the two groups of individuals got to the residence another fight began and Nikita Lovelace, 29, of Jefferson City, was stabbed in the upper thigh.
Police said the windows in Lovelace’s vehicle were also broken out.
Officers found the suspects and the victim identified them as Kashay W. Davis, 19, and Atasha McCann, 21, both of Jefferson City. Davis suspected of stabbing Lovelace while McCann is under suspicion of breaking out the windows in Lovelace’s vehicle.
Both were arrested and transported to the Cole County Jail. Davis faces charges of 2nd degree assault and McCann of property destruction.
