Jefferson City Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Madison Street Friday afternoon around 2:00p.m for a report of drug use.
JCPD officers knocked on the door and one of the occupants opened the door.
The officers inquired about the strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the residence.
The officers were denied entry and a search warrant was obtained to search he residence for drugs and related items.
As a result of the search several hundred dollars, a large amount of cocaine, marijuana, prescription narcotics, and scales were recovered.
Additionally, two handguns were found at the residence one of which was reported stolen from Cole County.
Three people were taken into custody and transported to the Cole County jail pending charges for receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana under thirty five grams and felon in possession of a firearm.
