JEFFERSON CITY -- While the majority of mid Missouri won’t have a white Christmas this year, one Jefferson City teen was guaranteed one.
High school sophomore, Robby Quick was the winner of this year’s contest.
At noon Friday, the Jefferson City's Parks and Recreation Department delivered a truckload of snow to his front yard.
The snow is actually shavings from the Washington Park Ice Arena.
KRCG asked Quick what he thought about the snow during a snowball fight with some of his friends.
“I think it’s pretty cool, its fun for the neighborhood kids because it hasn’t snowed yet,” Quick said.
Since the temperature is going to be in the 40’s this weekend, the snow probably won’t stick around too long.
Quick said he plans on playing in the snow with family coming in tonight from out of town and he says he’ll probably have a few more snowball fights.
