COLE COUNTY, MO -- A Eugene man faces a murder charge for a shooting that happened in September.
Prosecutors filed a second degree murder charge against Drew Puckett on Tuesday. Soon after, Cole County deputies arrested him.
He’s suspected of killing Caleb Crabtree, 28, in Eugene on September 2. Sheriff Greg White said his office knew of tensions between Crabtree and Puckett before the shooting. Neighbors said Crabtree made threats against the shooter and others before. Others said Crabtree was shot in self defense.
Puckett is being held on a $100,000 bond. He does not have a court hearing scheduled at this time.
