MOBERLY, MO. -- Update: Thursday, November 10th at 4:22 p.m.:

United States Marshals and Moberly Police arrested a man wanted for the death of a New Orleans doctor.

Federal investigators captured Bobby Troy, 20, in a Moberly apartment building about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Troy surrendered without incident.

Federal Marshals contacted Moberly Police after someone living in Moberly’s College Town Apartments recognized Troy from a photo they saw on the news.  Troy was visiting a relative in apartment 5.  Troy was wanted in connection with the death of New Orleans optometrist Brent Hachfeld, 37.

Moberly Police Commander Kevin Palmatory said, “He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals, processed here at the Moberly Police Department and then transferred to the Randolph County Justice Center.”

College Town Apartments Manager Rob Belcher said the arrest of Bobby Troy has put other tenants in his complex on alert.

Belcher said, “This was not a tenant that lived here that was involved with this. It was a visitor of a tenant.  Just kind of keep a close watch on who you let in your house.  Make sure you know that person.  I will definitely be keeping a closer watch on what’s going on around other people’s apartments out here.”

Belcher says the tenant in apartment 5 was not aware that Troy was a wanted man.  Troy’s bond was set at $25,000.

Troy was last seen on surveillance video getting on a Greyhound bus to Columbia.
