Audrain County’s votes are in and all three issues passed Tuesday night.

The million-dollar bond issue for Audrain County Water District Number 1 passed with 135 yes votes and 113 no votes.

The tax levy for the Audrain County Health Center passed with 1,551 yes votes and 1,071 no votes.

The hot-button issue was Proposition C.

Prop C passed with a 1,048 yes votes to 979 no votes.

Since Prop C passed it should give the Mexico school district about $750,000 per year.

District officials told us the money will protect the district from budget cuts, and enhance instructional programs.

"Throughout the years we've been successful in bond issues. Bond issues take care of our buildings. But this is a project that would help take care of the kids in the classroom, make sure our instructional programs are sound, and our people are taken care of,” Mexico Public Schools Superintendent Tina Woolsey said.

Audrain County Clerk’s Office told us that there was about a 17-percent voter turnout Tuesday night.
