COLUMBIA, MO. -- Wednesday was the second day students attended Columbia’s Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School in their new building.
Ninth and tenth graders started their classes in August on the Columbia College campus.
Teachers and students are staying on the east wing of the building while construction continues in other areas.
Some classes are in temporary locations such as the gym and art room.
Students are brown bagging their lunches until catered food starts arriving after Thanksgiving.
Principal Kristie Wolfe said, “Everybody did great in our temporary location at Columbia College. This is really what we have been waiting for. We knew the building was waiting for us, but until we got the construction to a point where it was safe to come out here, we were waiting on pens and needles to get in here.”
Columbia’s new catholic high school on Gans Road has been under construction since August of last year.
Classroom construction is expected to be completed within the next 2 weeks.
