There's a hearing Tuesday in Jefferson City in the case of a local college that wants to drug test its incoming students.

Linn State Technical College implemented the policy in September. On September 14th, the American Civil Liberties Union filed suit against the college to stop the drug testing its students. A judge put an injunction on the policy.

Tuesday's evidentiary hearing in federal court is in regards to that injunction.

Linn State has said the widespread drug testing is necessary to ensure student safety at a campus where the coursework includes aircraft maintenance, heavy engine repair and other dangerous tasks.
