ST. LOUIS, MO. -- University of Missouri Curators plan to meet behind closed doors about 4 p.m. today.

The secret meeting will take place as people continue to speculate that Mizzou Athletic Department Officials are still considering a move from the Big 12 Conference.

University of Missouri System spokeswoman Jennifer Hollingshead would not confirm the agenda of the closed door meeting.

A public meeting agenda makes no mention of conference affiliation, but the quickly scheduled session comes one day after Big 12 Chancellors and Presidents agreed to equally share the wealth from the conference’s most lucrative television deals.

The deal can only happen if Big 12 Conference leaders agree to lock television broadcast rights into the league for at least 6 years.

The agreement is subject to approval by campus governing boards, including Missouri’s Curators.

University Leaders and the board’s chairman, Kansas City Lawyer Warren Erdman, plan to meet with reporters after the closed session.

Hollingshead said that media conference will likely happen after 5:30 p.m.

The Associated Press contributed to this story.
