Travis Smith was acquitted on 2nd degree child molestation charges on Wednesday. The jury deliberated for less than an hour before coming back to court with a decision.

Original Story:

A jury trial is set for Tuesday for a Stover pastor charged with child molestation.

Travis Smith faces a misdemeanor 2nd degree child molestation charge. He's accused of inappropriately touching a 14-year-old girl while on a fishing trip.

Late last year, prosecutors dropped a second charge of felony rape of another woman. Attorneys for the woman said the charges were dropped because the female in question was of legal age when the alleged sexual relations occurred.

The trial will be held in Miller County. Earlier this year, a judge granted him a change of venue from Morgan county.

Smith's trial is expected to last two days.
