JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- An assisted living facility was robbed at gunpoint in Jefferson City Wednesday Morning.

It happened at about 4:30 a.m. at the Melody House in the 3000 block of South Ten Mile Drive.

An employee told officers three men came into the building and demanded prescription drugs.

One of the men had a handgun and threatened to use it.

The suspects had their heads partially covered.

No one was hurt, and the suspects left the business with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication.

The nursing home would not tell us what extra safety measures they will take in the future.

Jefferson city police detectives are actively investigating this case, and want anyone with information contact the police department or contact Crimestoppers at 659-tips (8477).
