JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Jefferson City voters can head to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to continue a tax.
It’s known as Sales Tax F. It would be a continuation of Sales Tax E, which is a ½ cent capital improvements sales tax.
The tax has been in place for years now. It has funded several public works, public safety, parks, and technology projects.

A yes vote would extend the tax. If approved, it would go through March of 2017. If the measure fails, the tax would end March 31, 2012.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. through 7 p.m. The sales tax extension is the only item on the August 2 ballot in Jefferson City.
